I would like to ask if i have a case for unfair redundancy and if i should consider pursuing this.

I was made redundant on the 30th August 2010 after working for 11 years for the same company. In this time i was bounced back and forth between two departments of calibration and instrumentation. Due to the fact my skills allowed this and i have always been flexible to the companies needs. The company took us through a 90 day consultation period and on the 72nd day i was told i was at risk, i was then told to go on gardening leave. A week later i returned to be told that my position as instrumentation technician was redundant and that there were no positions available .
I accepted that this was the case. I have since been told and seen that the calibration technician position has now been advertised on the company website internally and the only difference being they have changed the title to Test Systems Technician. I have also been told that a colleage who was also made redundant from the instrumentation techncian department has appealled after being offered the same position for !0,000 less by a contract agency employed to advertise the position by my ex-employer.
Should i chase this? do I have anything to stand on?
