When should he be paid? My husband was made redundant along with 80 other people yesterda, without consultation I might add. He has only been with the company for 8 months so it was termed a short service redundancy. No one is to work their months' notice period. He works on a low basic plus commission so on June 28th is due June basic and May's commission and July 28th would have been due July basic and June commission. No on from HR was present, they were not told why they were being summoned to head office and were told by their area Managers that payments will be made as they would have so June 28th and July 28th as above. Is this within their rights, I would prefer they made full and final payments immediately as I am concerned about their integrity and will have a very stressful 5 weeks waiting to see if they will make the payment due at the end of July, or even that they may be struggling and won't be able to. Any advice?

They are under no obligation to pay him commission or other payments earlier than his contract requires I'm afraid, sorry. He will be able to make a non-payment of wages claim should they later refuse to pay him though.
