Confused am I still employed?

Hi All,

I'm new to all this, can anyone advise?

Got made redundant last week but technically I don't think I am?

Although I have been advised that my postion has been made redundant, I was given an option. 1. Compulsory or 2. Voluntary. I have not agreed or signed anything yet but it says in my letter my termination date is next week.

My question: They have already informed other staff, that I have been made redundant or in their words "we have had to let ????? go" Can they do this?
