Hi there,
The situation so far is - my partner works for a company who are in the consultation period with making his post redundant. He has worked there for 7 years and works 74 hours per week.
His post is unique in the company, but his back up is provided via an external firm who supply holiday cover & a person to work the opposite shifts to my partner.
The company propose to cut my partners hours to just 25 per week, which will be impossible to survive financially, so he feels he must accept his redundancy instead. (if he is permitted to)
He was given 48 hours to consider this alternative shift pattern.

My question is - is he entitled to his redundancy payment if the company have offered him these reduced hours?
Many thanks in advance for any help offered x
