Hi
Yesterday I was informed the department I work in been made subject of the TUPE process and that my work is to be transferred a few hundred miles away.
I have been informed that if I decide to relocate then I will be subject to a redundancy process there as the new employer has no intention of increasing their existing head count.
Is this legal?
Also, the new company my work is being transferred to is 60% owned by the group that own my current company. Does TUPE even apply?
Thanks
Xo
