I have been told that my post is at risk to redundancy and I am going through a consultation process with my employer. During this process, a role in my team, has been advertised but I have been told I am unsuitable for the post. Looking at the JD, I can do 70% of the role and match around 70% of the criteria needed by the post holder. What does my employer need to demonstrate to prove I am not suitable for the post?
If I disagree and feel I could be offered the post what course of action do I take?
