I was first told, along with two other managers, that our posts were being deleted back in July 09.
After the 3 month consultation period I applied for VR and have been told verbally by HR and line manager it has been accepted.
An e-mail from HR with the calculations and proposed last day of service 31.12.09 has been sent to me with the comment it will be put in writing early December.
The months of uncertainty, coupled with the last restructure in Oct 08 when my post was deleted, along with many others, & I applied for a post in the new structure, was unsuccessful but given a downgraded position, led me to look elsewhere for another job.
I have recently been offerred a post on a slightly lower salary and further away.
Will the VR package now be compromised by the reference request from my potential new employer?
Is there anything I can do or have they finally succeeded in making my position untenable and saved on the VR payment?
