Hi,
I am currently employed by a very large company based on a customers site offering my services full time with this being my main employment address.
The customer announced 8 weeks ago that it was relocating the site and staff will be at risk of redundancy!
My HR department visited the site and advised me that I too face the risk of redundancy if re-deployment within my company cannot be found. If redundancy was the option then I will be leaving on the 30th September.
However 1 week ago my HR department and my Line Manager visited and told me that I was no longer at risk and can stay until the 18th of December along with a small amount of other staff from the company I am based with. I agreed and awaited the written confirmation.
My question is that I have chased for the letter from my HR department confirming this and my Line Manager but each time I ask I am told not to worry about receiving it and the contract for my continuation is 'verbal' from the customer.
Is this satisfactory?
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks in advance
