I have worked full time for a small firm since December 3rd 2007. I have been asked to cut my hours to 3 days a week as from 1st September or be made redundant. I have not worked there for 2 years so am not entitled to reduncancy , is that right ?
My boss wants me to sign a new contract stating that I will be permantly part time.
My original contact states my hours as full time - 8.30 to 5 - also states " the nature of our work may necessitate the occasional need for longer working to meet clients deadlines "
I do not want to sign a new contract agreeing to permanent part time as I want to work full time, I have been looking for alternative employment without sucess but intend to continue to search.
I am the only full time employee apart from a trainee, I was taken on full time to cover the school holidays as other part time staff work term time only.
Any advice ?
