Rehiring after redundancy question Hi After working for a company for 6 years they made me Redundant on the 23th April 2009.I have now found out that they have just hired two agency workers on 7th August to do my old job, are they allowed to do this so soon after my Redundancy

Hi
In short yes I am afraid that your employer can re-employ following a redundancy.
There is no time scale for this as long as your employer could demonstrate that the redundancy was genuine and fair.
Business circumstances change and your employer may be in a position to employ in the area of work you were in, although the fact that they have employed agency workers suggests that they still require some flexibility.Clara Buckingham
