Hi,
I've not seen this question asked before as far as I can see.
Our team of 4 were given 60 days consultation - all has been OK and above board as far as I can tell, up until the 60 day meeting came around. In this meeting we were informed that the consultation period was to be extended by 30 further days - due to a review of the dept by an independent party.
Since then, it's been 2 weeks, and we've now been informed that the consultation will not be taking place until at least the end of August. Given that the review will probably take a week, and to fairly assess the impact any changes have on the dept will take several further weeks, I can't see how we can continue without our consultation period being extended further.
I'm a bundle of nerves already. Stringing this out for longer just doesn't work for me. Is there anything that we can do to push our employers for a definite outcome? I've googled a lot and there doesn't appear to be anything regulating this aspect. it's almost like being turned into 30-day rolling contractors.
Thanks!
