1) My employer announced that 19 jobs are being made redundant, and a further 6 jobs will transfer to the USA. Does this mean 25 UK jobs are being made redundant and a 30-day group consultation should be followed?
2) This is the third round of redundancies in 7 months. In the previous round, redundancy notices were issues 18th Match, and some staff had 3 months notice period in their contracts (and some have been extended to complete the work and are still here). The company announced a new round of 19 redundancies this week. Should these be combined to add up to 20 or more, and again cause a 30-day consultation?
3) This latest round had 5 days group consultation (which they claim is not actually required), and will have 5 days individual consultation next week. On the 13 July, they plan to issue redundancy notices. The timing is much more rushed than the previous two times, which both had 4 weeks group consultation. Is this legally correct?
