I am currently 20 weeks pregnant and there is an extremely high chance I will be made redundant later this year before the date I intended to start my maternity leave in early October. I have two specific queries:
1 - Can my employer choose to pay my maternity pay in a lump sum rather than throughout my ML period (I would receive statutory only)
2 - I would have had a year's maternity leave between October 2009 and September 2010. If I am paid a lump sum in leiu of maternity pay (as above) would I also be entitled to pay in leiu of the holiday entitlement I would have accrued - in this case 6 month's worth of leave from April 2010 to September 2010 totalling 12.5 days? And added to this, would I receive pay for leave remainin in the 09/10 year?
The above two questions assume that I would receive 5 weeks pay for each year worked, plus two months pay in leiu of notice.
Thank you
