I have a query regarding the redundancy process.
I have been with my company (in the contstruction industry) for just over two years and at least one of my coworkers (a contractor) have been made redundant.
I have received notice that I may be made redundant and have today begun the two week consultancy period.
My question is - I am a full time employee but contractors doing the same job as me are being kept on. Is it unfair to let full time employees go but keep contractors doing the same job? Don't full time employees have more protection than contractors?
Thanks!
