redundancy criteria My company has just made 25 employees redundant, the criteria they have applied is Disciplinary only. The 25 people who were selected had final warnings or written warnings and were made redundant, is this legal?

redundancy criteria Dear Baz
I have never in all my career heard of just one criteria, i.e discipline. This means that the selection process was biased and unfair in my opinion. Normally, as Acas also recommend, you have at least 4/5 so that the assessment is balanced. It is probable that those who have warnings are likely to have lower scores but at least the assessment has taken into account other criteria to balance it.
I would challenge this if I was being assessed on one criteria.
Take a look at this on the Acas website:

Hope this helps
Best wishes
