Redundancy pay I have a staff of 5 & i need to make them redundant,it will cost me around £30,000 and the company cannot afford to pay this and continue trading,i can just about keep the company viable if i work on my own,have you any suggestions

If you are unable to pay your staff what you owe them without becoming insolvent they should be able to claim some money from the Redundancy Payments Service. You should go ahead with your redundancies, and notify your staff that you are unable to pay them. They can then claim it first from you and then from the Insolvency Service.
