My son in law a manager in a department of three was made redundant. Also in another department a junior person was also made redundant. There was a vacancy in a third department in a junior position. My son in law was not offered the job or even asked to apply. however the other person was given the job. Even though my son in law stated he was willing to take a pay cut the companystated it was upto the firm to decide if a job was suitable . Is this correct and does anybody know of any case law on this matter.
